Holiday Sessions! – Granbury TX Portrait and Family Photographer

It’s time to get your holiday session on the books!
I have opened up a max. of 14 Holiday slots in October! Each holiday session will be approximately 1-2 hours of shooting time and will include 25 Custom Holiday Cards! The holiday session can include your family, a maternity session, newborn session, or just a couple session.
As a Labor Day weekend special, anyone who books their holiday session by midnight, Monday, September 6th(Labor Day), will receive a coupon for 1/2 off of another regular session! This coupon can be used as a gift, or you can hold on to it to be used sometime next year for your family!
The Holiday Session fee is $150 and includes 1-2 hours of shooting time, 25 Custom Holiday Cards, and an in-person proofing/ordering session the week following your session!

Bill + Mallory: Waco, TX Engagement Photographer

I was up before the sun on Saturday, so that I could be in Waco, on the Baylor campus by 7am for Bill & Mallory’s engagement session. It was a beautiful and cool morning! As I was driving to Waco, the thermometer in my car read 57 degrees for the outside temperature. The morning light that spilled over the countryside, paired with the songs of worship that played on the radio, put me in such an attitude of awe and worship. Seriously, I needed that! I have a whole new appreciation for the beauty of that time of the morning…the newness of each day is so beautiful. : )
Okay, now speaking of beautiful, I’m sure that you are ready for me to stop babbling and get on to this beautiful couple that I shot on Saturday! Now, seriously. These two are definitely a beautiful couple. They each began the session by telling me(practically in unison) how “not photogenic” and “not so good” in front of the camera they were. Ahem. I found great joy in proving them wrong(as you will see below).
Bill & Mallory complement each other so well! I can tell that they are going to be very happy together for a very very long time. They both attended Baylor and Mallory is finishing up her Masters degree, while Bill is living the dream of many men…Bill plays golf. Yep. That IS what he does. He is planning to try for the PGA tour also! Bill, we will all be on the lookout for your name, ranking higher than Tiger and Phil! Now, onto the photos of this fabulous couple. We began by going to Baylor, where we captured them on campus…
Then we moved on to the beautiful home that is owned by friends of Mallory’s parents! They were out of town and were gracious enough to allow us access to their home and property…it was all very stunning!
Bill & Mallory, thank you for a wonderful and easy morning! You guys made my job incredibly easy. : )

Family, Changes & More: Granbury, TX Portrait Photographer

Okay, so I am slacking on the blog a bit lately…but with good reason. : )
Last week, Phillip and I had the privilege of taking the youth from our church to camp for the whole week! We had a very exciting and exhausting time. We are back and are busy this week with Vacation Bible School at our church now! More exciting and exhausting times. We enjoy every minute of it though!
So, I have been praying and contemplating a few things and I am ready to share some things with you so that no one wonders what in the world is going on:
1) The studio. If you happen to drive by, you may notice that the sign is gone and items are being moved out…no, I am not shutting down! I will not go into detail, but there were some issues with the building that were not discovered until I had moved in. See #2 for more…
2) My family. They are very important to me! I want to be able to give more of myself to my kids & husband each week without so much of a workload. My house and my family need more of my time. We are also very devoted to ministering in our church and I would like to be able to do that more freely…so, see #3 for the solution…
3) Portraits vs. Weddings. There is a big difference in the time it takes to complete each one. SO, I will no longer be accepting wedding commissions. My new focus will be on portraits, specifically babies and children! I will complete the weddings that are on the books already, but I will not be booking new ones. Now, I love weddings, so don’t get me wrong! But, I really need to change the focus at this point in my life and I am very excited about this new focus for my business! Portrait sessions will be somewhat limited and I will be only accepting a certain number of them each month. I recommend contacting me at least 4 weeks prior to when you would like to have your session.
Whew! There it is. Lots of craziness. : )

I will only be able to take on a limited number of holiday portrait sessions, so hit me up if you are interested!

Andrew & Laine: Waco TX Engagement Photography

This past weekend I met up with Laine & Andrew for their engagement session in Waco. It was a little warm(hello Texas in July!), but we survived and they totally worked it out for the camera! I am thrilled to be shooting Laine’s bridal photos this weekend and to be shooting their wedding in September. Andrew is in the army, so, from me to Andrew, I just want to say, “Thank You”, from all of us for your service to our country! : )

Graham’s Mini-Session: Granbury TX Baby Photographer

This past Friday, I had the awesome privilege of hanging out with 8 month old Graham for a mini-session. I won’t lie. He is cute. Maybe even cuter than cute. And after having a rough and long week/day, little Graham and his adorable 2 tooth grin was just what I needed to make my heart smile. And it did just that. : )
We met at a pretty little park in Granbury… here are a few of my faves from the mini session!

Baby & Child Portrait Reps: Granbury, TX Baby & Child Photographer

Become a Baby or Child Portrait Rep and earn a photo session plus prints and products, as you earn points! Here is the scoop:
We are accepting applicants for the Baby/Child Rep Program and will be accepting 8-10 reps. Each Rep will receive a free photo session, 2 Mini-accordion brag books, a disc of web sized and watermarked images, and 50 referral cards with your child’s photo on one side. You will then have the opportunity to earn points to be used toward prints and products! You will earn points by referring other maternity/baby/child photo sessions to me. You will earn one point for each referral card that is turned in with a paid and booked session. Each of your referrals will receive 20% off of the session fee when they book their session and use the referral card that you give them. Each Rep will represent us for one year from the date of their initial session and may accumulate points over the course of that year. You may spend your points each time you receive them, or you may save them up!
1 Point = 1 Gift Print
5 Points = $250 Print Credit
20 Points = 8×8 Session Album
It is very simple. You apply and if you become a rep, you just show off photos of your cute little guy or gal and earn points to be used for photos of your little one! You may also book subsequent photo sessions throughout your year as a rep and receive 50% off of the regular session fee. Want to apply? Mini-Sessions: Granbury, TX Maternity, Baby and Child Photographer

Wow! It is already almost the end of the first week of July! The rate that this year is flying by is insane! Speaking of insane, here are a few things that I personally feel are insane lately:
1) My daughter, Madysen, will be 3 in less than a week. Where did that little baby go???
2) We (hubby and I) were actually seriously looking at the minivan options last night…as in, we are seriously considering getting one after Christmas…when did I become a “mini-van mom”? ; )
3) We have an almost 3 year old and a 17 month old and have never had family photos of our family…um, yeah, it is about time to cross that one off of our list! How sad is it when a photographer doesn’t have family photos, other than snapshots? : /
Speaking of portraits…does anyone else feel like I do? Well, lets see about crossing that off of your list! Just a reminder, this month ONLY, I am having the summer mini-session extravanganza! So…what is a mini-session?
$99 Summer Mini Session includes: Approx. 30 minutes of my time, a small accordion style brag book, a disc of web ready images, and an in person proofing/ordering session with me at my new space!
The session fee is due at the time of booking, half of your order cost is due at the ordering session and the remaining half is due when you pick up your order. A minimum order of $99 is required at the ordering session.
I’ve also put together 2 “Mini collections” to complement the special and offer even more savings!
Mini Collection #1 – $499(value of $790)
(8) Gift Prints, (1) 16×24 Gallery Wrapped Canvas, (2) Bonus Accordion Brag Books, 30% off of any additional A La Carte items

Every session, mini and regular, will now include a pre-consultation(on phone or in studio) and a proofing/ordering consultation in studio. The pre-consultation will include discussion of clothing, location, props, etc. and the proofing/ordering consultation will include relaxing, viewing your images, discussing how you would like to display them in your home, and me walking you through the ordering process. No being left in the dark with ordering online and being unsure of what in the world you need to meet your needs. So, what does it take to set up your time on the calendar? A simple phone call, e-mail or stop by the studio on a Monday will be fine! I would love to meet with you and set something up. Brian + Ashley: Granbury, TX Wedding Photography

Brian & Ashley had a quaint, laid-back wedding at Whispering Creek Ranch in Granbury, TX. It was a very very warm day, but no one seemed to care…especially not Brian & Ashley. They were too in love and ready to begin their new lives together! The calmness that comes over both of them when they are with each other is amazing. You can feel the love when they are with each other! Yes, Brian & Ashley have a great love for one another, but above all, their love for Jesus is even greater. Their wedding made me smile. : )
To Brian and Ashley, may God bless your marriage in amazing ways as you follow Him together! Congratulations! I had so much fun throughout this entire process, from Engagements to Bridals to the wedding, itself. Thanks for having me to be a part of it!

New place! Oh, and the $99 mini-sessions…

Alright, as many of you might already know from Facebook, I have a new studio space in Granbury, TX! I have been painting and getting everything set up there the past couple of weeks, and I am so excited to get to use it! It will be used primarily for working on photos and meeting clients(more on that in a moment). So…as many have asked, NO, I will not be doing “studio” photos. It is just not my style to have a photo shoot centered around a backdrop in a studio environment, while this may work for some and be suited to their style, it is just not for me. My studio, however, will serve a great purpose as a working, meeting and viewing area – as well as provide a place for me to display my work and albums, without having to haul it all around with me to coffee shops and the like. : )

Ben + Stacy: Fredericksburg, TX Wedding Photography

Ben and Stacy have the kind of love that radiates every time they set eyes on one another. Watching them dance was so sweet because you could tell that they were in their own little world, as if it were just the two of them in the room. I know it may sound cheesy, but really, its true. : )
We had fun traveling down to Fredericksburg, TX for their wedding! Both of their families are incredibly sweet and we felt incredibly welcome at every point during the day! Here are some of my faves from their wedding.
